Five checks before choosing a picker

Evaluate motion requirements and installation boundaries together, rather than choosing a picker by size alone.

1. Space and pitch

Distinguish body width from the complete envelope including fittings and cables. Check the model specification and approved drawing for parallel mounting clearances.

2. Required axes

MONO provides single-axis linear motion. TWIN combines linear and rotary motors. AERO combines pneumatic Z motion with a rotary motor. Define the required motion first.

3. Stroke and clearance

Distinguish working stroke from additional clearance provided to avoid stopper collision. A CAD model in one position does not describe the complete motion envelope.

4. Specification conditions

Review rated force alongside moving-part mass and spring force. Source specifications use simulation and sample measurements; all performance figures may not be achieved simultaneously.

5. Final documentation

Verify the approved nozzle, shaft type, pin map and cable documentation for your configuration. Website materials support evaluation and do not replace approved manufacturing drawings.
